Province-sponsored Ministry: The Kincumber site of the present St Joseph's Spirituality and Education Centre has a history which stretches back to the 1880s when it became a home for twenty-two homeless boys from Sydney. Kincumber is an aboriginal word meaning towards the rising sun or to tomorrow.
In a picturesque and peaceful rural setting on the foreshores of Brisbane Water, St Joseph's provides a chapel, prayer rooms, individual and twin share bedrooms, two dining rooms, conference room, hall and museum. The venue is ideal for those who wish to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

After
the Home closed in 1976 St Joseph's became a centre for retreats,
group gatherings, workshops, seminars, reflection days and a venue
which generally catered for people's personal and professional needs.
