What we do...

Sisters of St Joseph NSW - Ministries
'The Mission of the Sisters of St Joseph has always been expressed
in a variety of ministries. As authentic expressions of our Josephite
mission we continue to serve in our traditional ministries of education
and social and pastoral works, and we endeavour to meet the challenge
of new and continuing needs, ever conscious of Mary MacKillop's
call for a spirit of unbounded generosity.'
Traditional emphases that still characterise our ministries are:
- desire to work for the poor and neglected
- involvement in the local church
- loyalty and support for the priesthood
- willingness to give way to others in our works
- availability to serve in remote areas
- readiness to work in and through our weakness and frailty with
trust and dependence on God." Traditions and Practices
of the Congregation
The Challenge
"...radical trust in the Providence of God, loyal service
to the local
Church, a readiness to discern the urgent needs of the time..."
Constitutions
"We commit ourselves again to retell the story of Mary MacKillop
with our lives, letting her passion be our passion." NSW Province
