Antoinette Baldwin
Antoinette grew up on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW and was educated by the Josephites at Woy Woy and Wyong. She entered in 1962 and was a postulant at St Margaret’s Hospital where she had been working. After Profession in 1965 she trained as a primary teacher and taught at Uralla, Quirindi and South Murwillumbah. She returned to nursing after the general Chapter of 1971, along with other nurses who had been in other ministries. After general training at St Margaret’s Children’s and St Vincent’s Hospitals she worked in the Children’s Hospital until undertaking Midwifery Training at the Mercy Maternity in East Melbourne and Infant Welfare at the Queen Elizabeth in Carlton (Vic). She worked at St Margaret’s, mainly in Nurse Education, Neonatal Intensive Care and Administration until its closure in 1997. During that time she spent six months at King George V and the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children in Camperdown training in the care of sick infants. When St Margaret’s closed she moved to Aged Care and while studying at the College of Nursing worked as educator, quality coordinator and infection controller at Sisters of St Joseph Aged Care at Hunter’s Hill. Since 2002 she has been a member of the Provincial Leadership team in NSW. She enjoys reading, music, gardening, swimming and golf.

Mary Ellen O’Donoghue
I was professed in 1977 and after one year in a Primary classroom I then spent the next 25 years in Catholic Secondary Education.
I taught at MacKillop Girls’ High Lakemba and Holy Cross Bellambi at the time of its amalgamation with St Paul’s College creating Holy Spirit College. My next 18 years were spent at Mount St Joseph Milperra, the last 12 as Principal.
After a sabbatical year I was appointed as Faith Formation Coordinator for St Paul’s Parish Karratha WA, where I worked in the Parish, and the Catholic Primary and Secondary schools. It was a enriching experience working in such a difficult and isolated context area. While ministering in WA I also had the opportunity to visit Associates across the State giving a reflection day on “Living into our Name” In 2007 I was appointed as CEO for Good Grief Ltd—a program of Grief and Loss Education.
I am currently working in preparation for World Youth Day at Mary MacKillop Place and am learning much about large event organisation!
My passion in life is to make the Gospel real for those with few choices.

Therese Carroll
After completing General Nursing at St Vincent's and Midwifery at St Margaret's Hospitals Darlinghurst I worked at St Margaret's as educator and labour ward midwife where I came in close contact with the Sisters of St Joseph.
After about 7 years I decided to join this group of inspiring women. I was professed in 1989 and worked for another 7 years at St Margaret's, then 4 years at the Caroline Chisholm Centre for Women and Children at Liverpool Health Service.
After a period of renewal at Baulkham Hills I changed ministry direction to caring for old and frail people - at Sisters of St Joseph Aged Care Hunters Hill, then at Catholic Healthcare. I came to know the lives of older people from new perspectives and also gained a deep appreciation of the great work many people do in simple, yet profound, ways making a difference in the lives of many people.
I love music, swimming, and "cogitating on life's questions" with my friends.

My connection with the Sisters of St Joseph began at my birth as I was born at St Margaret’s Hospital, when it was conducted by the Josephites with Sr Anne Byrne as Matron. I attended school at St Therese’s Lakemba and was taught by the Srs of St Joseph. I later went on to the Juniorate at Hunter’s Hill, until I entered the Congregation in 1960.
My postulant year on the North Coast at Uki enriched me with numerous experiences both educationally and communally. Following the Novitiate and Training School years I returned to the delights and challenges of country living and communities. During the past forty-seven years of Josephite living, mostly in rural areas of NSW, I ministered through music, primary and secondary education and administration as well as Pastoral Associate in the Parish of Revesby.
Currently I am NSW Coordinator for Good Grief Ltd which conducts the Seasons for Growth Program and provides other relevant programs and material. I will combine this role on a part-time basis with membership of the NSW Provincial Leadership Team. I look forward excitedly to this combined experience with its challenges and opportunities.
I gain refreshment through music, gardening and nature walks and currently relish the recent experience of being a great aunt!
