Mary MacKillop in New Zealand

Mary MacKillop made four visits to New Zealand.  Her first visitation of the province began on 25 January 1894, when she arrived on the S.S. Manapouri from Sydney.  She was in New Zealand until March 1895.  Mary loved New Zealand and her health responded to the climate.  But for the most part Mary was taken up with the needs of her Sisters - concerned to see that the ordinary comforts of life were there to keep them happy and contented and fit for their work.
