Introducing the New Zealand Province Leadership Team:

Colleen Keeble - Province Leader
For the last six years I have been full-time on the New South Wales Province Leadership Team. I’ve lived in country & city NSW as well as in South Australia for a time. A highlight for me in the last year was visiting Vietnam, Cambodia, Peru and El Salvador. This has helped me to walk in the shoes of others. I now look forward to sharing in the life & experiences of my New Zealand sisters.

As a new member of the Provincial Leadership Team, I begin this ministry with a sense of deep gratitude and hope. Gratitude for all the Josephite women on whose shoulders we now stand, who, with God’s help, have brought us to this place in time; and hope that God will continue to bless us as we respond to the call to Mission in our times.
Having been a delegate at our 25th General Chapter, I am excited about the pathways forward that we are called to. I have a particular passion for what God is doing with the Charism at this time in our story. “The Chapter affirms the growing recognition that God is gracing many with the charism and encourages theological reflection on this reality”

For the past three years I have been a member of the Province Leadership Team in New Zealand and have been re-elected for a further three years. At present I feel as though I am walking across a bridge and as I look over my shoulder I am aware of the opportunities and gift it has been to be in leadership whilst being mindful of letting go of the familiar. As I look ahead I am conscious of the invitation to embrace the new and to be open to being part of creating 'new pathways'. I hold in my heart a sense of hope for the unfolding of our Josephite lives together.

This is the first time I've been called to ministry on the Province Leadership Team. I feel very excited about participating more fully in working alongside our Sisters & Associates in bringing the mandates of the Chapter to reality. Together we can do it and together we can make a difference!

At this time I hold the statement – “There is a vision for the appointed time, wait for it, it will surely come.” – knowing that our Chapter calls us to new ways of organising ourselves for mission and new ways of collaborating with others in mission, so I wait!
May Mary MacKillop continue to inspire us as we endeavour to bring about God’s reign of peace, hope and love in our world. |
