Who we are
Aotearoa New Zealand Province The New Zealand province was founded in 1883 at Temuka in the South Island. Today Sisters of St Joseph live in all the dioceses in Aotearoa and are involved in a variety of ministries. We are a diverse group of women passionate about a gospel commitment to participation in God’s reign. We share the Josephite Charism with the Associates and others in the contemporary Josephite movement. In this year of Celebration of 100 years since the death of Mary MacKillop we join with our Federation Sisters, Associates, Family and Friends in offering ways to make this a memorable year.
