What we do...

Common to all traditions of religious life is the need for the
Novitiate experience where the individual can have time to reflect
on the nature of religious life and its personal implications for
her. For this purpose a novice has twelve months without a formal
outside ministry. This is called a 'canonical' year.
Sydney program
A significant part of the formation for the novices in Sydney takes
place with novices from several other congregations. Together they
participate in the 'Kairos' program which provides a range of input
and processes and deals with:
- The vows
- The essence of religious life in the 21st century
- Community
- Communications skills.
In their second year the focus is more on the ministry, and the
Sisters have a period of experience in the apostolic works of the
Congregation.
During the Novitiate phase there are a series of modules of study,
which allow the novices to come to a greater understanding of the
Congregation and its history.
