A series of Tuesday afternoons at the Centre from 1.30pm - 3.30pm reflecting on the Virtues of Blessed Mary MacKillop as we prepare to celebrate 100 years since her death.

RETREATS PROGRAM 2009
The Guided Retreats and Directed Retreats offered at the Mary MacKillop Heritage Centre are small retreats. Retreatants have comfortable single accommodation in our new apartments and are supplied with a continental breakfast in their rooms. The main meal is provided at lunch time and the evening meal is prepared by the retreatants at their own expense in their rooms. Each apartment has tea, coffee and biscuits available throughout the day.
GUIDED RETREATS

Holy Conversation: Sacre Conversione
Facilitator: Sr. Yvonne Harte rsj
Using images of the saints in holy conversation with the deity painted during the Renaissance period e.g. Fra Angelico, this retreat will explore the meaning of holy conversation and the implications this activity might have on twenty-first century spirituality. Note: Individual Direction will be available.

Mary MacKillop and the Providence of God

"do not worry about your life: look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" (Matt 6.25,26). Using the Gospel for the Feast of Blessed Mary MacKillop, we journey through Mary's life and learn trust in Gods's Providence.

Christian Meditation

Christian Meditation is a universal practice that leads beyond words, images and thoughts into the faith-filled and presence filled emptiness we call the silence of God. This Retreat will invite the seeker into the practice of Christian Meditation. The retrest will include morning and evening meditation in a group and a daily presentation on themes associated with the experience of contemplative prayer.
Note: Individual Direction will be available.
