Mary MacKillop Centre Mt Eliza is a peaceful and quiet house set in attractive and restful grounds, and is close to the beach. Such a setting makes it very suitable for a Retreat House.

Mt Eliza is on the Mornington Peninsula, 45 kms (about an hour's drive) from Melbourne. Historically the area is interesting as it was among the early settlements of the Port Phillip district.

In 1984 the name 'Mary MacKillop Centre' was adopted. Its location in a tranquil out-of-town environment (within walking distance of both the beach and Mt Eliza Village), its facilities (including 22 single rooms, dining room for 45, lecture/meeting room, and a two bedroom self-contained cottage), and its attractive and restful surrounding gardens make it a very appealing venue. Parish groups and other interested people are welcome to make bookings for Retreats, Prayer Days and Seminars, while many individuals take advantage of the self-contained Cottage in the grounds for Private or Directed Retreats (self-catering). On-going Spiritual Direction is also available at the Centre.
