THERE IS A VISION OF THE APPOINTED TIME … WAIT FOR IT …
… IT WILL SURELY COME …

We, the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart,

are a faith community summoned,

as Mary and Julian were, to set out on new pathways.
We are called afresh to explore mission and identity

as consecrated women religious.
We are called to right relationship.
We are called to structure our Congregation in new ways

in order to walk with those most in need
of God’s justice and hospitality.
We are summoned by this Chapter

to recognise God’s future coming to us in the new life within.

And as we ponder under the earth the miracle happened.

Slowly, gradually becoming less frightening

the possibility of change was accepted

and there was energy in the pondering of new paths,

new structures and new ways

to enrich and free our missionary efforts.

And so ended our Province Chapter

with our hearts full of new energy

acting justly with loving tenderness

while walking into the future

humbly and confidently with our God.
