A gift of the Spirit given to persons and taken up by a group to carry out the mission of Jesus, having characteristics in the way of being and serving which mirror a particular experience of God’s presence in our world.

 The Sisters of St Joseph believe:

That we are called:

• to be attentive to the Spirit of God calling us to new ways of imaging and living the Josephite Charism

• to be bold in honouring and nurturing the Charism which is alive in many hearts

• to recognize that there is new energy as people respond to the Charism in a variety of ways.

Are you called to share the Josephite Charism?

There are many different gifts,

but it is always the same Spirit;

there are many different ways of serving;

but it is always the same Lord

       1 Corinthians 12:4-5

 Is your heart ‘Josephite’?  

If you feel drawn to the Josephite Charism, God could well be calling you to be a Josephite: as a single or a married person, a Sister, a Josephite Associate, or a Volunteer.

A process of ‘discernment’ would help you to discover whether where God is calling you.
