The Josephite Charism, initially articulated by Mary MacKillop and Julian Tenison Woods, has been expressed in the vowed life of the Sisters since 1866.

With the passage of time, the Josephite Congregation has spread within Australia, New Zealand, Peru, Ireland and beyond.

God continues to gift the Congregation with the Charism given to Mary and her early companions.
