September 27, 2012
It was a true spring day with the wattle in flower and the birdlife in song. The day provided staff with an opportunity for a time of reflection on the service and work we undertake on a daily basis in the context of our ethos at Caritas College.
The theme was "Encountering Grace at the Well." The day began listening to local farmers Pauline and Ron Battersby from Wilmington and staff members from farms in surrounding districts discuss the preciousness of water, their “saving grace” during times of drought. Using St. John’s Gospel, staff members were given numerous opportunities to reflect on their own image of both Jesus and the Woman at the Well, and where and how they encounter them in their daily lives.
The day concluded with the celebration of the Eucharist around “the well” with our School Chaplain Fr. Khalid.
