Prayer Room

Introduction

-

The Church's liturgy and a personal relationship with God through prayer and reflection sustained and motivated the lives of Blessed Mary MacKillop and Fr Julian Tenison Woods.  Our Josephite Constitutions remind us that 'God's compassionate love for his people, the Eucharist as source and summit, and the Mystery of the Cross provide for us as they did for Mary MacKillop, a context for our service of others.' (No 5)

The rich Liturgy of the Church is the source and summit of our Christian

life and special Josephite feasts are highlighted in these resources that

include a focus on the Prayer of the Church

Devotions that reflect the core values of the Josephite tradition are

available for those who wish to learn more about our charism and follow in the footsteps of Mary MacKillop and Julian Tenison Woods

Resources for prayer and reflection are offered by Josephites and associates for use either in your own spiritual journey or with other companions in faith.

Shrines and pilgrimages connected with Blessed Mary MacKillop are listed and events connected with these holy places are advertised for those who wish to join them

A list of Spirituality Centres provide Josephite places where individuals or groups may spend time in retreat for prayer or reflection or be able to seek the support of a prayer companion or spiritual director

Prayer request form provides the opportunity for prayer requests to be

placed at the tomb of Mary MacKillop.

The Congregational Liturgy Committee assists the leadership team.
