Have you had space to grieve what broke it?

Come for some gentle days of silent guided meditation, be held by spiritual conversation, find space to weep, room to laugh and time to see that the cracks are where the light gets in.

When the heart is cut or cracked
or broken, do not clutch it:
Let the wound lie open,
Let the wind from the good old sea
blow in to bathe the wound with salt,
and let it sting.
Let the stray dog lick it,
Let a bird lean on the hole and sing a
simple song like a tiny bell and let it ring.

This retreat will provide opportunities for participants to reflect on their cross-cultural experiences and the joys and challenges faced when returning to their home culture.

Previous retreatants valued connecting with others in a similar transition phase and were enriched in this. Through the sharing of memories and the difficulties encountered during the transition period participants gained deeper insights into their experiences and responses and this enabled a greater openness to what was possible for them in the future.

Please note: the maximum number of participants is 6 and a participant’s re-entry does not need to have happened recently.

Our entire universe (including humanity) has been soaked in The Christ from the very moment of creation. All carry the divine DNA of the Creator. This retreat helps us to come to know in every cell of our body this reality. These days are ideal for those who participated in Living in a Christ-Soaked World and those who have read Richard Rohr’s The Universal Christ.
