"May the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we abound in love for you..."
(1 Thessalonians 3:12)

In the second reading for the the first Sunday of Advent, we are encouraged to love more.

The beginning of Advent, this year on 28 November, is also the start of the new Liturgical year (Year C). We share a reflection by Josephite Companion Janette Dobson on the wonderful opportunity Advent gives us, and her experience from the recent Josephite Companions Conference.

Working in collaboration with the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Lochinvar, we have recently released a joint commitment statement outlining our intention to join and adopt the Laudato Si’ Action Platform.

In this edition, Mary MacKillop Place Director, Sr Colleen Keeble, writes about the official opening of the new Anderledy Lodge, and we present a reflection by Sr Colleen O'Sullivan on the gift of Sacred Scripture for all Christians.

We also feature for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December, St Anthony's Family Care, who support children and young adults with disabilities.

We invite you to view our Josephite Commitment Statement here.

Advent gives us a wonderful opportunity to fine-tune ourselves ready to accept, welcome and embrace the Christ, writes Janette Dobson.

Supporting children and young adults with disabilities to participate in community life, brings great joy to all the staff at St Anthony’s Family Care, shares Simon Bartholomew.

Anderledy Lodge, officially opening on 11 November 2021, is located at the historic Mary MacKillop Place - a place of pilgrimage, welcome, prayer and encounter. View here.

Sacred Scripture teaches us over and over that we are the beloved of God and that all creation is a reflection of the God of love. View Sr Colleen O'Sullivan's reflection here.
