Responding to Need

Laudato Si’ Action Plan – A Josephite Response

The Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Sacred Heart, working in collaboration with the Sisters of St Joseph Lochinvar, share their latest Laudato Si’ campaign – the five-part URGENT HOPE series. This series has been prepared for the Josephite community to introduce the late Pope Francis’ document Laudate Deum on the climate crisis, to facilitate conversations, reflect on global issues and encourage positive action.

The latest Conversation Package is titled Wellbeing Economy for a Flourishing People and Planet. It centres on Pope Francis’ call for a rethink and reset in how society prioritises and manages the needs of all people and the planet. The package defers to biblical notions of flourishing and to the wisdom of Catholic Social Teaching.

Use the questions and Pope Francis’ quotes from Laudate Deum to spark discussion, share countering views and form ways to move forward.
