You are warmly invited to join the Josephite Aboriginal Ministry Team New South Wales (JAMTNSW) for a meaningful Reconciliation Week Acknowledgement Event for National Reconciliation Week, created for all who feel called to deepen their understanding of First Nations reconciliation. This gathering will be held on Friday 22 May from 9:45am-12:00pm at Providence Place, Croydon, NSW.
Grounded in the 2026 theme, All In, this gathering offers a welcoming space to come together in a spirit of respect, listening, and shared learning. Through story, reflection, and conversation, participants will be invited to engage more deeply with the realities, histories, and ongoing injustices that shape the journey of reconciliation in Australia. This is an opportunity not only to grow in awareness, but to consider what it truly means to be “all in” – to stand in solidarity, to listen with openness, and to walk forward with greater commitment to justice, truth, and healing.
We are honoured to welcome two inspiring guest speakers who bring both experience and deep insight to this important conversation. Phil Glendenning, co-founder of Australians for Native Title and Reconciliation (ANTaR), has spent decades advocating for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and will share reflections drawn from his lifelong commitment to reconciliation. Joining him is Dr Karen Isaacs, a Coordinator of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education at Oakhill College. Dr Isaacs brings a powerful voice grounded in lived experience, education, and cultural leadership, offering insight into the ongoing work of truth-telling, identity and community.
Together, their voices will help guide this gathering as we listen deeply, reflect honestly, and consider how each of us is called to be “all in” on the path toward reconciliation.
Please register your attendance by 19 May here.
