This little book tells the story of the life of Father Julian Tenison Woods who played a very important role in the early days of our country Australia.
It was his vision for education that he shared with our first Australian canonised Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop.
Together they began a work of God that changed the lives of children who had no chance to better themselves without a basic education.
Julian and Mary believed that the ‘way out of poverty is through education’ and worked together to offer an opportunity that was life changing.
I hope you enjoy this story and value Julian’s contribution to our history.
Thank you to Steve Todd for the illustrations, Sr Ann Duncan for typing and editing the book, and Sr Joanne Linh Le for organising the printing and distribution of the book.
