Jubilee 2025 – Pilgrims of Hope

We must fan the flame of hope that has been given us, and help everyone to gain new strength and certainty by looking to the future with an open spirit, a trusting heart and far-sighted vision. The forthcoming Jubilee can contribute greatly to restoring a climate of hope and trust as a prelude to the renewal and rebirth that we so urgently desire; that is why I have chosen as the motto of the Jubilee, Pilgrims of Hope.

In 2025, the Church celebrates a Jubilee year with the theme Pilgrims of Hope. A Jubilee year occurs every 25 years and begins with the opening of the Holy Door at Saint Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City. Jubilee 2025 began on 24 December 2024 and concludes on 6 January 2026.

Jubilee 2025: Choirs

From 22-23 November, we celebrate the Jubilee of Choirs. As Renate Cassis shares, “Choirs in general possess remarkable power and a certain kind of magic when gathered. Whether it’s the grandeur of a concert choir, or the simplicity of a small parish group, they both bring unity and a sense of sacredness.”
