The World Day Against Trafficking in Persons is annually commemorated on 30 July. This year the theme is: Human Trafficking is Organised Crime – End the Exploitation. It is a time to stop and remember that this evil is operating in our country as well as the whole world.
This day provides us an opportunity to pray, and the Talitha Kum Oceania Network offers a prayer outline for this day or around this time. Share with communities, parishes and other groups. It can be found below.
Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking (ACRATH) has a link to other events that you might like to join: click here to find those events.
A couple other actions you might like to consider on this International Day are:
- Watching a webinar
Talitha Kum (TK) recently held a global webinar on Digital Safety & Online Exploitation. The recording is available on the TK YouTube channel. It is a great opportunity to extend your understanding about this horrific emerging situation. There are many victims of online exploitation, especially children. The material may be confronting but something everyone needs to be aware of. Share with your local communities and groups.

An opportunity… Do you WALK and record your steps? If you do and are willing to download the Walking in Dignity App on your mobile device, you can support Talita Kum projects!
