The following is a clause to add to a Will making a bequest to be applied to the Congregation:
I bequeath the sum of $ …….. to the religious Congregation known as the Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Sacred Heart to be applied by that Congregation in furtherance of its work in Australia [or overseas as they determine] and I declare that the receipt of the Superior General for the time being or the Secretary General of the Congregation will be full and sufficient discharge for my Executors and/or Trustees without enquiring further as to the actual application of this bequest.
The words in brackets above “[or overseas as they determine]” have been included in case you wish to include these words in the bequest clause. We have Sisters working in Peru, East Timor and Brazil and occasionally in other countries as well for short projects.
